A luminous yarn bundle for the poetic sweater by Marie Régnier

Designed by Marie Régnier and featured in The Art of the Sea by Laine Publishing, Clouds & Mists is a dreamy top-down sweater inspired by Moominpappa’s longing for adventure and the ever-shifting skies above his island. This delicate design blends thoughtful construction with whimsical detail, creating a piece that’s light, poetic, and deeply personal.

This sweater brings together Wensley Worsted and Soyeux held together in the color Blanc, creating a luminous, cloud-like fabric with softness and drape. The subtle magic comes through in the embroidered details, worked in Kumo using the duplicate stitch technique in shades of Hegelia, Artemisia, Yellow Brick Road, Clay, and Amege. Each little motif floats upward from the hem and cuffs like wisps of color on a pale sky.

The bundle includes the yarn needed for the embroidery : 1 x Kumo 50g Artemisia, 1 x Kumo 50g Hegelia, 1 x Kumo mini 20g Amege, 1 x Kumo mini 20g Clay, 1 x Kumo mini 20g Yellow Brick Road

Kumo: 74% Suri Alpaca, 26% Mulberry Silk 300m (328yds) for 50g.

Kumo mini: 74% Suri Alpaca, 26% Mulberry Silk, 120m (131yds) for 20g.

Please note : this bundle contains only the Kumo and Kumo Mini for the duplicate stitch. You’ll need to add the required number of full-size skeins of Wensley Worsted and Soyeux to your order to complete the project.
